For female animals that present "in heat" at time of spay, there is addtional in-heat fee that will need to be paid before the procedure starts. There is greater liklihood of this occurring if the spay is performed after 6 months of age.

We ask that you review the following items:
- I understand that the Healthy Start Package is not the same as pet insurance
- I understand that the Healthy Start Package is for preventative care only. If my pet becomes ill, I am responsible for the costs of the examinations, diagnostic testing, and treatments for my puppy/kitten.
- I understand all the Healthy Start Package charges are non-refundable and the package is non-transferable.
- I understand the deworming medications (pyrantel pamoate) covers the treatment for hookworms and roundworms. If my pet is diagnosed with a different parasite, I am required to pay for the medication to treat parasites that are not hookworms or roundworms.
- I understand that heartworm and flea prevention are not included in the package but are recommended for my pet to receive every month lifelong.
- I understand if I do not schedule my pet's spay/neuter within 18 months of the signing up for the package that additional fees may be incurred because the pet's discounted spay/neuter will expire. Surgeries are schedules are only booked 60 days in advance.
- I understand that Veterinary Medical Center does not perform declaws on felines.
