VACCINATIONS

Many of the diseases that can affect dogs and cats are preventable through proper pet vaccinations. We’re here to keep your pet on a healthy schedule.

Puppies and kittens have their own special vaccination needs.

We offer vaccines for cats and dogs, puppies and kittens. Our doctors determine which vaccinations are right for your pet based on their experience and knowledge, as well as your pet’s individual needs, life-stage, and lifestyle. VMC follows CAPC, AAHA, and AVMA guidelines on recommended small animal immunization protocols for pets living in our region.

We strive to administer vaccines to pets without them noticing. Our staff offers delicious treats and employs special handling techniques that engage what we call a touch gradient. That involves making physical contact with your pet and maintaining that contact, so they are not startled every time they receive an injection. In addition to our handling technique, the vaccine brands that VMC prefers have been carefully selected. VMC uses Ultra Duramune® vaccines as well as PUREVAX® vaccines to ensure that ours are as safe as possible with limited or no preservatives. We also selected these vaccine lines because the volume of each vaccine has been reduced by 50%, which means that it can cause less discomfort when injected.
